DARMSTADT. A fraudster stole 2000 euros on Wednesday at around 3.30 pm in an apartment building in Herdweg. According to current knowledge, the man showed up at the doorstep of an elderly man who had previously been made credible over the phone by other perpetrators that the person ringing was a police officer who allegedly took the money into official custody to protect himself from thieves. Police are now looking for witnesses who may have noticed the money collector in Herdweg. Few details are known about the description of him. As a result, he is estimated to be in his 40s and 50s.
