Senior UI Designer Resigns from Blizzard Over RTO Policy, Seeks Remote Work Opportunities

Blizzard (Bizzard) senior UI designer Scott Hernandez issued a post announcing his resignation, and posted a photo under the statue of Lilith in Diablo 4.

Scott Hernandez: “Today was my last day at Blizzard. I unfortunately fell victim to the RTO (return to office) policy because I couldn’t follow through with their demands. Bittersweet. I spent some time on my favorite project Good time, but now it’s time to try something new (full remote work). Wish me luck!”

Later, Riley Florence, the chief user experience designer of “Fortress Heroes”, appeared at the bottom of the post and said, “Interested in Epic Fortress Heroes? We can chat.”

Blizzard began to implement the mandatory employees to work in the company at least three working days a week this year, and many employees do not agree with this policy (RTO). “I think the leadership of Activision Blizzard made a huge mistake with the RTO policy. The policy is very inflexible and affects people who live in remote areas,” said the senior game designer on Overwatch.
