Senior singer Koes Hendratmo died at the age of 79 on Tuesday (7/9). This has been confirmed by the manager of Bonita, son of Koes Hendratmo.
“That’s right, Ms. Bonita’s father (Koes Hendratmo) died,” said Nia, Bonita’s manager at CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (7/9).
Nia also revealed the possible cause of Koes Hendratmo’s death.
“It is possible that he died of heart disease. He does have a history of heart disease,” Nia continued.
Throughout his career, Koes Hendratmo has produced a number of studio albums, including Lambuan Bunga (1959), Sansaro (1968), Wanita Wanita (1970), Legendary Batak Pop (2000), and My Love for You (2011).
In addition to his music career, Koes is also known as a presenter. A number of events, both on television and off-air he has played.
One of the television shows that catapulted his name was the Berpacu Dalam Melodi quiz, where participants guessed the title of the song sung in the program.
Koes leaves three children, two of whom follow Koes’ career in the music industry, they are Anda Perdana and Bonita.
