T20 senior players reportedly may not play T20 matches next year. It is reported that none of the players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, R Ashwin and Dinesh Karthik could play T20 matches next year. Ashwin and Karthik will no longer be considered for the T20. BCCI sources also said Rohit and Kohli should decide their future in T20 for themselves, national media reported.
The decision was made considering next year’s ODI World Cup. Senior players will play ODI and Test instead of T20. BCCI is also considering the T20 World Cup in 2024. A new team led by Hardik Pandya will line up in that World Cup.
