The mysterious death of four Russians in a hotel in Albania just an hour after their accommodation has raised suspicions that a murder conspiracy may be behind it, given the high military post held by the father of the Russian family, the Albanian Daily News reports.
The publication quotes the opinion of criminology expert Ervin Karamucha, according to whom the death of the Russians was probably the result of a fabricated murder and in order to investigate it, the entire route of the Russian family should be studied, reports Dir.bg. According to Karamucha, if it is a case similar to that of Nikolai Glushkov, a critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, found dead in London in 2018, then it would be difficult to establish the murder.
“The head of the family is a high-ranking military man. Neither gas, nor high temperature, nor suffocation, nor drugs do that,” the expert said, referring to hypotheses about how the deaths of the four Russians took place.
According to him, the death may have been caused by poisoning outside Albania, and food consumed in northern Macedonia should also be examined. It is possible that hotel employees were recruited to perform this task, the specialist admits.
The Albanian Daily News reported, citing its sources, that the deaths of the four Russian tourists had been registered as murder, although the investigation had not yet confirmed that conclusion.
Four family members from Moscow were found dead Friday in the spa area of a hotel in the village of Keret, Kawaii district, while a hotel employee was carrying out their order. The tourists were found dead by one of the hotel receptionists in the sauna around 10.30 pm.
