Senior Marketing Manager for France – Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager for France, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the marketing strategy for France across all client segments with a key focus on helping the business grow revenue. This is a very hands-on role with the person responsible for planning and delivering all initiatives. As a result, th is role will require a high level of interaction and close partnership with business partners and investment platforms to add value to the business and support the sales team’s effort.
• Be responsible for supporting the implementation of the marketing strategy for France, working in close partnership with the Senior Marketing Manager for France and the Head of Core Client Group for Western Europe. This will include being a key contributor to shaping the future of the business as well as helping to align marketing strategy to business strategy. Specific responsibilities are highlighted below.
• Support the delivery of local marketing strategy & plans working in close partnership with the local business in France and also collaborating actively with the teams in Belgium to leverage potential synergies.
• Play a key role in the development and implementation of local campaigns and distribution plans across multiple channels (emails, events, social media, content, web…) & products as well as implement and adapt global marketing campaigns locally when relevant .
• Support the content and contact strategy for all client segments, overseeing all content/materials developed to support business growth as well as ensure appropriate reflection of the AXA IM brand values and consistent messaging across the globe
• Drive the development and implementation of local promotional programmes for different types of clients (co-marketing) across retail distributors, wholesale professional buyers, insurance and pension fund clients
• Be responsible for managing and optimising the local website(s), in alignment with global guidelines, working closely with the central digital marketing team

o Be responsible for content population for the local website for their country

o Ensure that the content – excluding content for which they have no control – is accurate and up to date

o Review local content translation and provide local compliance ID when needed and ensure that processes are correctly followed

o Report issues and bugs to the support team and inform the wider Digital Lead group

o Participate in the digital leads meetings on a regular basis and share best practices

o Liaise with global digital managers to communicate on enhancements and analytics needs

o Works with the analytics manager to test and drive better results on campaigns

o Work with other areas of business (technology, product management) to ensure that input is given to support the smooth operations of the Fund Centre (excluding the up loading of documents into systems for which we do not have access)

o Ensure that employees are aware of the processes of adding new content to the CMS as well other technological solutions exposed on the website (such as the Fund Centre)
• Measure the impact and success of locally driven marketing programmes and contribute to the Global Marketing reporting on cross-market and segment campaigns
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with the sales team, portfolio managers, product specialists, operations, corporate communications, compliance and other business functions as appropriate
• Share/leverage best practice across countries, avoiding duplication of efforts and initiatives and/ creating a high degree of consistency

Be an active member of the global marketing leadership team, playing a key role in shaping and evolving our global marketing strategy

Your profile

Education / Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in marketing and communications in the financial services sector, with experience of the asset management/securities sector really important
    • Degree educated preferably with a relevant marketing qualification

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Excellent understanding of marketing, with a proven track record of developing and implementing marketing plans
    • Ability to drive innovative strategy and implementation of marketing activity across multiple channels
    • Able to proactively come up with ideas for marketing and PR as well as take direction when ideas are not originated by the candidate
    • An in-depth knowledge of the asset management industry, clients, investments and products
    • Excellent communication skills including written and spoken fluency in both French and English
    • A very high level of organizational skills with ability to work on multiple projects and to cope with demanding schedules
    • Proven ability to manage actively external suppliers and optimise their output
    • Proven ability and confidence in presenting at a high level
    • Be a proactive, dynamic and highly client-focused self-starter
    • Able to demonstrate credibility and inspire confidence
    • Able to work independently yet as a proven team player
    • Able to work within a matrix organisation and collaborate actively with numerous stakeholders within a global organisation
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build easy relationships with different teams and person (investment teams, product managers and other business partners) to capture ideas and extract relevant and timely information
    • Fluent French and English are key
