There are no limits to imagination.” An album of photos of products made of various materials appears on the table. Old women flip through it indifferently.
“I know you mean well, but if I can speak for myself, I won’t be painting or plastering anything again,” says one of the session participants. “Me neither,” adds her friend. “However, we don’t have to work with colors or wool,” argues the leader of the circle. “If you’re interested, we’ll make ceramic ornaments or I’ll teach you how to wire.
“You know what, Mrs. Marcelka, have a coffee and sit with us. We’ll talk,” the women suggest. “Okay,” the young artist breathes out and puts the idea of joint creation on hold. At that moment, the old women come alive. Their good mood and topics for conversation last almost two hours. “Come again next Wednesday,” the women call to Marcela. “We are already full of all kinds of serepetiches. But we will bake a strudel and then eat it together!’
And so the intended handicraft club became a confectionery club. Every Wednesday, the ladies in the common kitchen bake a dessert so delicious that even a real master wouldn’t be ashamed of it. Then he makes coffee or tea and eats it together with Marcela without remorse. They really have enough angels and pictures.
