Senegalese Female Pilot Makes History with Successful Delta Flight DL216

Khady Djibril Ndiaye, young woman, pilot thus marks the history of aviation in Senegal with this successful flight for the company of Delta DL216.

It was a historic landing at the Blaise Diagne International Airport of Diass DSS of the Delta Air Lines Boeing 767-332 (ER) with the Line Pilot Officer, the Senegalese Khady Djibril Ndiaye-Wooden.

OPL Khady Djibril Ndiaye-Wooden made history this Wednesday, June 7, 2023 as a female pilot in command of PIC of this Delta Air Lines flight DL216 from New York to Dakar.

It is therefore a symbolic theft since it is the first time, according to the Facebook page “Best school in Senegal”. In the history of aviation in Senegal, no female pilot of Senegalese origin was yet at the controls of a commercial airliner.

It is also, and surely, a very nice experience for our lady Khady Djibril Ndiaye to drive home.
