Libreville, March 1, 2024 (AGP) – The opposition and several major civil society platforms gathered on February 29, 2024 around a “resistance front” nicknamed “Fippu” which notably demands the holding of the presidential election before April 2, the end date of President Macky Sall’s mandate, international media report.

The front demands the organization of the presidential election before April 2, the official date of the end of President Macky Sall’s mandate. Fippu also demands the maintenance of the list of 19 candidates validated by the Constitutional Council for the presidential election.
