Sending Spring Greetings to Ilmārs Dzenis: Honoring the Latvian Singer and Songwriter

Ilmars no longer participates in the active life of society, but the recordings of his songs continue to be heard not only in the performance of the artist himself – they continue to be sung by many followers of his art at parties and other gatherings.

Dace Nebare, the representative of the board of the association, writes: “Those who know him and listen to his songs speak of Ilmar with love and respect. We in the association often hear the question – how is Ilmar Dzenis doing?

During Easter, the representatives of the society had the opportunity to visit Ilmar at his current residence in Tampa, Florida, where we walked together through the memory lanes of his life and art.

Ilmar sends warm greetings to all those who love his songs!”

The board of the Latvian Society St.Petersburg FL invites all Ilmārs’ friends and fans of talent to participate in the promotion of the artist “Sending spring greetings to Ilmārs Dzen!”.

“You are welcome to write a card of good wishes to the artist and send it to the official address of the association:

Latvian Society St.Petersburg FL (for Ilmārs)

5220 Brittany drive south apt. 1410

The letters you sent will be forwarded to the current residence of our honored artist Ilmars Dzenis.”
