In the Sendai City Council election on the 30th, the city election commission announced that the estimated voter turnout as of 8:00 pm was 34.77%. This is 1.1 points lower than the previous year (35.87%) in 2019. The counting of votes will begin at 9:40 p.m. in all wards.

Miyagino Ward 30.78%
Wakabayashi 32.46%

Voting ends, counting votes starts at 9:40 pm

At 8:00 pm, all 172 polling stations in the city’s five wards were closed for the Sendai City Council election scheduled for November 30. The counting of votes will begin at 9:40 p.m. in all wards.

Estimated voter turnout (as of 6:00 pm) 21.63%, 2 points lower than last time

In the Sendai City Council election on the 30th, the city election commission announced that the estimated voter turnout as of 6:00 pm was 21.63%. This is 2.33 points lower than the previous year (23.96%) in 2019. The next estimated voter turnout (as of 8:00 p.m.) is expected to be announced around 8:50 p.m.
