The suspect in the Binomo application case, Indra Kenzit turns out that he only pretended to buy a luxury car from Toyota Supra GR to Rolls-Royce at showroom owned by Rudy Salim, Prestige Motorcars. Rudy Salim explained the beginning of the content was created.
The video of Indra Kenz buying this luxury car was posted on his TikTok account on January 17, 2021. Indra Kenz admitted that he was just buying a luxury car Toyota Supra GR.
Rudy Salim’s attorney, Frank Hutapea, denied that his client was said to have helped Indra Kenz create content that turned out to be fraudulent. Frank said that at that time Prestige Motorcars was happy to help advertise by Indra Kenz, who was YouTuber famous.
“No, no. That’s the name at that time called people making content, who doesn’t want it help same ad YouTuber famous at the time,” Frank said when contacted on Saturday (19/3/2022).
Frank reveals, the entire series in the video buying a luxury car at showroom Prestige Motorcars, such as the delivery of the Supra GR to Indra Kenz’s house to the autograph, are just for the sake of content. Meanwhile, the Supra GR in that content has already been bought by other people.
“Yes, it’s just content. It’s an item (Supra GR) that someone entrusted to sell it, and now it’s been sold by showroom other. All of that content, content,” he said.
“That’s been explained to all investigators,” Frank added.
Previously, Indra Kenz and his girlfriend, Vanessa Khong, had uploaded a moment of buying a luxury car on Facebook showroom owned by Rudy Salim, namely Prestige Motorcars. The National Police revealed that Indra Kenz was only pretending to buy a Toyota Supra GR to Rolls-Royce for the sake of content.
“Regarding the other vehicles, investigators conveyed that the examination of Rolls-Royce and Toyota vehicles contained in the content was only for the purpose of content creation,” said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Gatot Repli Handoko in a virtual press conference on Friday ( 18/3).
