WhatsApp reduces the quality when sharing photos and videos in order to save data volume, but this also means that the quality of the display suffers. However, this can be changed in a few steps and that is why in this guide we will show you how to send photos or videos in WhatsApp either in SD or HD once or permanently.

If you want to do it once, you do it directly when sending. If you want to send a picture or a film, the HD above the video. The option is only displayed here, it is not a reference to sending in HD. Tap this small icon and then you will see a menu in which you can switch between the standard quality, which is also preset as standard, and the HD quality. If you choose HD quality, the HD icon is white and has a tick. If you change it here, you have to change it again each time if necessary, it will always switch back to the standard quality.
