‘Send a Mixtape’, the website that converts Spotify’s playlists into folding cassettes

The web application ‘Send a Mixtape‘is a free tool that converts Spotify playlists on printable templates of folding houses, which can be heard with a QR code.

‘Send a Mixtape’ offers the possibility of sharing the lists created on platforms such as Spotify or YouTube in physical cassette format without having to use a cassette player to listen to the songs.

Through the website sendamixtape.com, the user fills in a form with their email and the URL of the playlist they want to use. This free tool generates a printable template of a folding cassette with a QR code label with linked ‘playlist’.

After receiving the cassette template in PNG format in their ’email’ tray, the user only has to download the file and print the template. Once printed, just cut it out, fold it and glue the folds together to form the body of the cassette.

To ensure that the cassette is printed at the original size, the leading faces of the cassettes should measure 10×6,5 cm, not counting the folding flaps on the sides.

Although the linked playlist can be found on any service, the use of links from platforms like Spotify or YouTube, to be played directly from any mobile device by scanning the QR code.
