According to available statistics, 42 percent of viewers who receive a terrestrial television signal rely on an outdoor or indoor antenna. Sencor wants to address them with its offer, launching two new antennas SDA 532 and SDA 212 on the Czech market.
“Even professionals in the field claim that different places require different types of antennas, and where the inhomogeneous signal is disturbed by reflections, a measuring instrument must be used before installation. They are also well aware that no special DVB-T2 antenna, as some manufacturers have misleadingly mentioned, exists. Nevertheless, there are tips to follow. For example, the fact that the directionality, gain and quality of the antenna amplifier play a crucial role for the reception of weak multiplexes, “the company commented on its innovations.
The Sencor SDA 532 antenna is an omnidirectional outdoor antenna. “Expert measurements show that older antennas tuned to the entire band of channels are worse off with the strength of signal reception, especially at the beginning of the band. And so, if the viewer has problems with reception of, for example, channel 26 (multiplex 21 ČT) or channels 22 and 23 (multiplex 23 in Prague, Central and Southern Bohemia), the new antenna can improve his reception by a lot, “claims the manufacturer. The antenna also contains a filter to prevent interference from the mobile operator’s signal.
The Sencor SDA 212 indoor antenna, on the other hand, is suitable for places close to transmitters or in large cities. “The advantage of this antenna is, in addition to easy positioning and thus a change in polarization, also power supply directly from the TV via a micro USB cable,” added Sencor.
