NATIONAL INITIATIVE CITIZEN COMMITTEE “IN THE NAME OF BULGARIA”

According to the mass media1, US senators and congressmen addressed a letter to the ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Washington, in which they stated, that if Bulgaria continues to maintain its “veto” regarding the accession of North Macedonia to the EU, they will introduce a proposal for sanctions against Bulgaria in the US Senate and Congress. On this occasion, we, from the National Initiative Citizens’ Committee “In the Name of Bulgaria”, express our protest against these undiplomatic and illegal statements of the above-mentioned persons.
Also, we appeal to the deputies in the National Assembly, the president and the government in their policy regarding North Macedonia for our country to adhere strictly to the decisions taken at the last meeting of the Advisory Council on National Security.
