After the journalist Daniel Coronell revealed in his Sunday column some audios where senator Eduardo Pulgar had tried to bribe a judge, the Unity Party, to which the congressman belongs, announced that he had transferred the case to the Ethics Committee of the community, so that internally the pertinent investigations are made and the measures to which they take place are taken.
Through a statement, La U’s party stated that “it rejects any violation of criminal regulations, respects due process and is ready to collaborate with any judicial investigation involving any of its members.”
Likewise, in the letter, the community stated that “it cannot, and should not,” anticipate giving value judgments on issues “so sensitive” that they require an investigation by the competent judicial authorities.

They reported that the Unity Party “has activated” a policy of zero tolerance for corruption.
