NEW YORK – Thousands of New Yorkers took to the streets of New York City to celebrate that Democratic candidate Joe Biden is projected as the winner of the United States presidency, according to the forecast of NBC News, after a historic election day that included several counting days after a record of early votes and by mail.
Among those who celebrated was the senator and Senate minority leader, Democrat Chuck Schumer, who was seen outside Columbus Circle in Manhattan and in Brooklyn along with hundreds of people who expressed their joy not only for the projection of the new president elected but by who would accompany him in the vice presidency, the first woman to reach this position, Kamala Harris.
“Joe Biden will be the next president of the United States and Kamala Harris will be the next vice president of the United States and a new dawn is approaching,” the senator wrote on his Twitter account.
