The Senate Finance Commission dispatched, in second step, the project that modifies the Budget Law for the year 2021 and that allows the delivery of an Emergency Family Income (IFE) for 100% of the people registered in the Social Registry of Households (RSH).

For his part, the Minister of Finance, Rodrigo Cerda, through his Twitter account, thanked the commission for approving the project and expressed his hope that it will be ratified tomorrow Saturday in the Senate Chamber.
During the discussion, the senators Ximena Rincón (DC), Carlos Montes (PS) and Ricardo Lagos Weber (PPD) They highlighted the need to advance on issues such as the automaticity of the benefit so that income is adjusted to the RSH; the temporary opening of the RSH in order to lift the closing date with permanent updating; the elimination of discretion by ensuring coverage of beneficiaries and amounts associated with the previous delivery and establishing the health and economic parameters in the regulations; coverage of Rettig, Valech and other pensioners (with income range of the last decile); that there is no incompatibility of income for other pensions and a more active communication action to inform the benefits
For their part, the senators Juan Antonio Coloma (UDI) and Rodrigo Galilea (RN) They also advocated having a more comprehensive vision on support and transfer to SMEs.
