From the Senate of the Republic, The Parliamentary Groups will be awaiting the results and agreements reached at the X Summit of North American Leaders, for the construction of better conditions for social and commercial development between the United States, Canada and Mexico, underlined the president of the Board of Directors, Alejandro Armenta Mier.
The Puebla legislator recalled that the Chamber of Senators has the power to approve international treaties signed by the Federal Executive and, within the framework of the trilateral summit, “President López Obrador underlined that commercial exchange through the T-MEC is one of the issues that are part of the agenda, in addition to the fact that this agreement was considered an adequate tool to establish fair conditions and inclusion among the three nations”.
He said that one of the important issues that have been included in this summit is labor mobility in the issue of bilateral cooperation on migration, in which the government of Mexico seeks to strengthen its policies and programs to enforce the rights of migrants in our country, in close coordination with international organizations.
Senator Alejandro Armenta underlined that the commitment of the legislators is the promotion of initiatives that strengthen the country’s competitiveness, through mechanisms that fight poverty and inequality, as well as promoting a better distribution of wealth.
