The credit of up to $57,246,082.37 comes from the Financial Fund for the Development of the La Plata Basin (Fonplata) and was granted in 2023, for the improvement and expansion to eight lanes of the Senkata-Apacheta section, on the La Paz-Apacheta highway. Oruro.

The work will be executed within two years and will promote trade and international connectivity, since it is part of the bioceanic integration network with Brazil and Chile. The road will have a length of 8 kilometers and will benefit the population of El Alto and La Paz, and above all to relieve traffic congestion.

The second loan, approved with the support of 14 of 21 senators, makes available access to $56,050,000 for the construction of the Faja Norte highway in the municipality of Yapacaní, in the department of Santa Cruz.

Both sanctioned projects were sent to the Executive Body for promulgation and access to funds.

The president of the Senate, Andrónico Rodríguez, highlighted that this body complied with the administrative process for the approval of both credits, in a period of no less than 10 days.

“This is not doing a favor to the Executive; it is our duty. Pressure on the Legislative Assembly is not necessary,” he asserted. The rest of the credit projects were sent to the commission for review.
