The voice of the protagonists
“We made history. We had never reached this stage and we are going to fight to reach the final,” commented Joao Acuña, Villarrica forward.
“We have determination and heart. I trust the team and we are united,” commented Esteban Portilla, defender of Iquique, the team that eliminated Graneros, winning 2-0.
In Antofagasta, a candidate for the title due to its level of play and its undefeated record, after eliminating Con Con (3-1), its coach Carlos Bravo anticipated the semifinal with Talcahuano.
“The boys are focused. They gave us up for dead in the first phase, but we secured the classification among the four best in Chile,” Bravo stressed, after the 3-1 victory against Con Con in the quarterfinals.
“We played a great game against Castro and with the support of our people we hope to reach the final,” said the midfielder of the Talcahuano team, Anfa Bío Bío, Matías Jaramillo, a key player in the 3-1 victory against Castro.
Entry to the venue, with capacity for 3,200 people, is free, although fans can help by purchasing a raffle ticket from the Chillán Amateur Football Association, at the entrance to the stadium. The teams that lose will play the grand final on Saturday, at 7:00 p.m., in the same sports venue, and those that win, will play the grand final, in the deep duel, from 9:00 p.m. The National Youth Amateur Soccer is organized by ANFA Chillán and financed by the Regional Government of Ñuble.
