On the E40 in the direction of Ghent, just past the Affligem entrance and exit complex, a truck trailer is on fire. The trailer is loaded with wool. The truck driver had the reflex to quickly disconnect and bring the tractor to safety. The motorway was completely closed for a while, but there is now a lane available. The E40 will soon be closed again for post-extinguishing. The extinguishing works themselves will probably take a few more hours.
