Georgi Semerdzhiev, who is on trial for running over two girls with his SUV on Cherni Vrah Blvd. in the summer of 2022, had a minor accident on the Ring Road hours earlier. This was told by two witnesses in the Sofia City Court, where the trial is ongoing.
First, Georgi Marinov, whose car was slightly hit by Semerdzhiev, described the situation. Around 18:30 he was traveling on the Ring Road and saw police lights.
“The car that was behind me, passing me, picked me up and continued without stopping.” Marinov’s car was moving in a column of cars. The incident was recorded with a video recorder.
After him, Magdalena Ivanova was questioned, who turned out to be traveling in the back seat during this incident. She saw a police baton and a police jar in both cars used by Semerdzhiev. One was a “Mercedes” and the other an “Audi” jeep, which caused the accident at “Cherni vrah”. During this minor accident, police officer Simona Radeva, who was traveling in front, was also in the car. Magdalena Ivanova was a real estate broker at the time, and she and Semerdzhiev were doing inspections.
Simona sat in the front and did not get out of the car. Semerdzhiev’s ex-boyfriend Eva Yordanova was also questioned in the case. She denied that he had used cocaine, although she told the inquest that she had heard he had. The case continues on March 6 with the questioning of more witnesses.
