KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) will distribute cash dividends worth Rp 1.12 trillion to its shareholders. This decision was taken at the 2021 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) in Jakarta, Monday (29/3).
SMGR decided to distribute cash dividends of 40% of its net profit of Rp 2.79 trillion.
Meanwhile, 60% of the net profit or Rp 1.67 trillion is designated as other reserves.
The number of SMGR shares outstanding as of March 8, 2021 was 5.93 billion. Therefore, dividend per share (DPS) SMGR for the 2020 financial year amounting to IDR 188.8 per share.
With the share price at the close on Monday (29/3) of Rp. 11,150 dividend yield SMGR of 1.69%.

As an illustration, SMGR managed to book a 2020 net profit of Rp 2.79 trillion, or an increase of 16% from the net profit in the previous year period which was only Rp 2.39 trillion.
However, this state-owned company reported a total net income of IDR 35.17 trillion throughout 2020. This number decreased by 12.87% from the realization of revenue in 2019 which reached IDR 40.36 trillion.
In addition to the amount of dividends, the AGMS also honorably dismissed Mochamad Choliq as an Independent Commissioner, and appointed Aas Asikin Idat as Independent Commissioner of this state-owned issuer.
The AGMS also changed the nomenclature of the position of the Company’s Board of Directors, from being Director of Finance to Director of Finance and Risk Management.
