Sem Rozendaal from ‘s Gravenmoer has just missed out on the victory of The Voice of Holland. On Friday evening he made it to the last two, but in the end of the scorching final of this RTL4 program, Dani took the win. Nienke Fitters from Loon op Zand dropped out earlier in the final.
In the studio Sem was allowed to play his own song for the first time. My Missing Piece is called. His coach Waylon was wildly enthusiastic. “I am very proud. I am so happy that you are here. I like that so much,” said the coach about his pupil. Earlier in the evening, Waylon said that he cannot imagine that we will never see Sem again.

And many twitterers agree with him:

Nienke Fitters from Loon op Zand had to quit the fight earlier in the evening together with another finalist, Jasper, after two songs. For her, the Voice adventure had already come to an end.

Two numbers
All candidates were allowed to perform two songs before the first round of voting: a duet with their coach and a solo song. Sem sang along with Waylon Wild World from Cat Stevens. With his guitar behind the microphone, it was as if it had never been any different. For the solo song, the 18-year-old young man had chosen a song from James Bay: If You Ever Want To Be In Love.

Nienke sang Aisha from Outlandish, along with Ali B (who lost his lyrics). On her own she did another Adele song: One and Only. And although there were rave reviews for her from both the jury members and the online fans, she did not manage to turn it into a full Brabant final with Sem.

Dani’s single will be released after his win. He gets a record deal and a number of gigs are already planned for him. Other prizes include a new car and a cash prize of fifty thousand euros.
