In My way Selma takes her fans through her pregnancy and the period afterwards. In the sixth and final episode, the influencer, who gave birth to her first child in early August, says that motherhood is ‘more’ than she expected. “I always knew that I really wanted it and that I would love my child very much, but the moment that little one is there, it is so different.”
She has been on a pink cloud since the arrival of her daughter Amaya. “You feel something you’ve never felt before in your life. And I really feel that that’s why I was put here on earth. To care, to love, and she teaches me all that.”
Selma would therefore love to become a mother for a second time. “I would love to. (…) I would like a brother or sister for Amaya, preferably within a year.” Even though she has chosen single motherhood, she wants a second child from the ‘same father’ as Amaya. “I did talk to him about it.”
The influencer has never revealed who the father of her daughter is. She wants to debunk the rumors that are going around: “Amaya’s father is not a football player, not a criminal. Amaya’s father is just a very sweet man who is there for his daughter. And if I feel like I in public want to share, guys, believe me. You are the first.”
Amaya’s father, who lives in London, would not want to be in the picture himself. “We did have a conversation about it. We came to the conclusion that we are not going to do that at the moment, so I respect him in that.”
Although Selma does not have a romantic relationship with her daughter’s father, she does think it is important to involve him in her upbringing. “I would give a lot to Amaya to have a very good relationship with her father. If I have to move to London for that, then yes. I think London is a very nice city. So that is certainly something I would consider. “
Selma has agreed with the father to visit London with the baby at least once a month for a week. “For me that’s just a win-win.”
