In an interview with Latvian Television’s “Morning Panorama” program, he said that the solution to gradually start selling tickets for certain festive events has been successful, and until now ticket sales have been very successful.
At the same time, the minister admitted that there will always be individual cases in which someone will feel a little deprived, but “this is an inevitable thing”.
“Always, those who will not get the coveted tickets will think that something has not gone well. But I believe that this model is correct, it is improved compared to the previous one, and in fact, ticket sales are going very smoothly now,” Puntulis assessed.
Commenting on the ticket prices for the Song and Dance Festival, he expressed the opinion that they are very adequate. If you wanted to ensure that the tickets are not sold on the secondary market at a higher price, then they should be sold at the official sales points, for example five times more expensive, but that is not the goal of the festival organizers. In addition, there will always be someone who will be ready to buy a ticket even for 1,000 euros, added the minister.
As reported, this year, for the first time, tickets for the Song and Dance festival events are going on sale gradually.
In total, there are 174,000 tickets for festive events, of which 74% have been put on public sale, 25% have been pre-booked and 1% have been set aside for invitations. Ticket prices for festive events range from 5 to 100 euros.
A maximum of four tickets for one event can be purchased at one time. The total number of tickets that can be purchased in one purchase is 20.
