Interest is skyrocketing for Norway’s most expensive used car.
Earlier this fall, the hysterical Bugatti Chiron went on sale, for the tidy sum of NOK 39,995,000.
Bengtson Automarin is selling the car for Bugatti Thor owner Aage Pedersen. Finnmarkingen has owned the car since this summer.
– I actually bought this as a very early Christmas present for myself. It doesn’t get fiercer than that, Thor Aage tells Broom.
I can’t assure that
The car is one of 500 Chirons produced. We are talking about one of the fastest cars in the world, with an extreme power of 1,500 horsepower and 1,600 Nm.
– There have been a few different rumors as to why you will be selling. What’s the real deal here?
– I can’t insure that damned car, says Pedersen ramshacklely, from a North Norwegian.
– That is: I can assure you, but then it has to be registered on Norwegian plates. That’s not exactly free on a car in this price range.
– How much does it cost?
– Approximately NOK 8 million. Since the car is so rare, there are also opportunities to make some money out of it, she believes.
Thor Aage himself paid DKK 25 million for the car.
– We’ll see what happens. If it’s not sold, I might consider putting a Norwegian license plate on it, says the 57-year-old, described as one of the richest men in Finnmark.
He initially got rich from reindeer slaughterhouses in Finnmark and from property. Today, he makes a living trading stocks.
Aston Martin x3: Kristin and Bjørn’s garage is causing a stir
I think it comes from Norway
– How was the response to the ad?
– I think there are a couple of potential buyers, but the way it looks now, I think the car will probably leave the country. But of course: I absolutely hope it will be in Norway. It would have been extremely fun.
If the French hypercar is sold and registered on Norwegian plates, a small piece of Norwegian history will be written. Never before has a Bugatti Chiron rolled with precise Norwegian dishes.
