PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) deserves to celebrate great success Chery Omoda 5 at the Indonesia International Motor Show or IIMS 2023. Because apart from winning awards most tested car or the most frequently driven cartest drivethe vehicle also sold well during the exhibition.
Vice President of PT CSI, Harry Komara said, initially Chery Omoda 5 only targeted to sell 200 units during the exhibition. However, this target was reached on the third day or 8 days earlier than the initial estimate.
“Chery Omoda 5 actually (targeted to sell) 200 units during IIMS 2023, but in just three days the target has been achieved. In fact, in the first week there were already 300 units ordered, we are still waiting for the final number, I hope 500 units will arrive,” said Komara when met by detikOto on the closing day of IIMS 2023.
According to Harry, the first 200 customers will receive their units in April 2023. However, consumers who order later will only receive their units in May 2023. He hopes that his party can meet this high demand quickly.
“So what we prioritize is the first 200 customers. We will send the car in April. So, (consumers) we will try to do it in May,” he said.
Met separately, CSI Executive Vice President (VP), Zhang Wei confirmed, Chery Omoda 5 received an extraordinary response from visitors to IIMS 2023. In fact, towards the close of the exhibition, his party added the number of seats to serve the many customers who came.
“To be honest, it (Omoda 5’s request at IIMS 2023) has exceeded our expectations. In fact, (towards the closing of the exhibition) we have added a number of tables in the booth to serve buyers’ requests,” said Zhang Wei.
Chery Omoda 5 Brief Specifications
Chery Omoda 5 launched for the first time on the first day of IIMS 2023, last Thursday (16/2). This vehicle has a unique appearance that not many other products have, especially on the face. One of the most iconic is the grille design which seems excited and striking.
The new car is equipped with a 1.5L TCI engine that can produce 145 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 9 CVT transmission with an electronic shifter.
Chery Omoda 5 has a number of excellent features, such as airbags on various sides, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist System, Brake Priority System, Electronic Stability, Traction Control, Hill-start Assist Control, Hill Descent Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System and Auto Central Locking Door.

Chery Omoda 5 comes in two types, namely Z and RZ. While the price starts from Rp. 328 to Rp. 398 million with status on the road Jakarta.
