First there is surprise, that moment of understandable bewilderment with the doubt of having misunderstood, that the heat – as we know – gives to the head. And these days she is boiling. But then the amazement gives way to fun and takes the video to send on social networks, to relatives, friends, to anyone: so much so that the terminals of Eni distributors are now more popular than influencers. Why do they speak in dialect.
The distributors speak Marche
And in the Marche the terminals of the various self-services are expressed with the many accents of this land declined in the plural, where each province – and each city of each province – has its own particular way of expressing itself. In recent days, Corriere Adriatico showed the video of the distributor speaking in San Benedetto dialect: today what is expressed in Civitanova is staged. But also in the province of Pesaro and in that of Fermo there are terminals that follow the accents of the territory, as obviously the Doric, Ascoli and Fano can not be missing.
The Eni initiative
But what is going on? The digital terminals in over 1,700 Eni Live Stations throughout Italy have for some days also been expressed in the local dialects of over 100 provinces. “Operation in progress, please wait”, “Refuel at dispenser 1”, “If you have a points card, use it now” are some of the voice messages that customers of Eni service stations will hear in the dialect of the area where they will stop for refueling. An original initiative, which had been tested in some stations, and which is now present in over 1,700 Eni Live Stations where modern terminals have been installed which, among the available languages, also offer the local dialect.
