The self-isolation threshold in Latvia is currently set at 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. This figure is lower among the EU and EEA countries only in the Vatican and Iceland. Currently, the highest incidence is in Estonia, where the figure is 1520.8 cases per 100,000 population.
Self-isolation in Latvia must still be observed when returning or traveling in transit through San Marino, where it is the second highest incidence in Europe. Self-isolation must also be observed when returning from Monaco, Andorra, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Slovakia, France, Sweden, Malta, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Germany, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Denmark, Finland and Norway.
For non-EU and non-EEA countries, self-isolation is not required when traveling from Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia. These countries are among those allowed to cross the EU’s external border.
When entering Latvia from other countries of the world not mentioned in the lists, self-isolation must be observed.
