Self-isolation against Covid-19 unvaccinated will be required upon arrival from Greece and Malta

Persons who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 will have to observe ten days of self-isolation when entering Latvia also from the Netherlands, Greece, Malta, Denmark and Belgium, according to information from the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).

Unvaccinated individuals will still have to adhere to ten days of self – isolation when returning from Cyprus, Portuguese, Spanish, Andorra, Ireland, Monaco, Luxembourg a British.

On the other hand, the list of countries from which no one has to comply with self-isolation has not changed.

At present, no country in the world is included in the list of countries at particularly high risk for countries with an epidemiological situation that could pose a serious threat to public health.

The SPKC is calling on the public to be vaccinated, as it remains the safest and most effective form of protection against severe forms of the disease and reduces the spread of Covid-19 infection in the community.

It has already been reported that persons vaccinated against Covid-19 have entered Latvia from anywhere European Union, A country of the European Economic Area, Swiss or Britain, will no longer have to comply with the self-isolation requirement by approving amendments to the “Epidemiological Safety Measures to Control the Spread of Covid-19 Infection,” the government decided on May 13.
