CHARTRES / Lecture: Self-esteem explained to parents and teachers.
exchange
The Institut Notre-Dame (IND) organized a conference on the theme of self-esteem on Thursday, in front of 150 people, the majority of whom were parents and teachers. Marie-Laure Billaut, educational psychologist, animated the evening by deciphering this problem. The speaker divided her intervention into three parts: the definition of self-esteem, how to detect the first alarming signals in children or adolescents, advice and attitudes to adopt. “Self-esteem is worked on daily through exercises but above all therapy with specialists. To promote it in children or adolescents, it is recommended to encourage it without doing for it, to value but remaining realistic, to keep in mind the balance between what I believe to be and what I could be. ”
