As they explain, all this has a direct impact on people’s lives in: success, well-being, social relationships, education, work and mental health.
“Self-esteem plays a important role in the development of any person”, indicates the psychologist Patricia Benavente, psychologist of ITA Prisma Zaragoza. Along the same lines, Marta Gago, director of ITA Moscatelar, stresses that it is “important to stop, reflect and look for spaces for self-care”. “We live in a society in which we do not stop, all day we are running and we do not have time. We cannot take good care of others if we are not well”he points out.
ITA’s #Love to Love campaign
Having low self-esteem has several consequences that affect the development of the person: appearance of insecurities towards oneself, not expressing our feelings or our opinion for fear of being rejected, need for someone else’s approvalfeeling of inferiority, among many others.
On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, ITA patients have worked in different activities to show affection, respect and love for colleagues, workers, clinical team and themselves. “From ITA we flood the networks with #QuiéreteparaQuerer to encourage self-love”, they point out, while adding that this campaign has been used by patients, therapists and socio-educational team with the aim of working self-esteem and self-love.
