KPCC has issued a stern warning to MPs who declare their candidacy. The party will decide who will contest and where. K. Sudhakaran warned that contrary opinions will not be tolerated in the wide executive meeting. AK Antony also indirectly criticized the MPs by reminding them that the next goal should be the Lok Sabha elections.
Finally, the KPCC policy was clarified. No MP will be allowed to fly above the party. KPCC Executive K.Sudhakaran stated that MPs will not stand by and declare their candidacy. Including nominating a substitute in one’s own seat will not be accepted. Reminding that the organizational framework is applicable to everyone, Sudhakaran also warned that action will be taken if the limit is exceeded. AK Antony also sounded the alarm saying that there is only one voice in the party. Antony said that there is no need to think about anything other than the Lok Sabha elections now. UDF convener MM Hasan said that MPs can stay away if they are tired. When the leaders criticized the statements and movements of the MPs, there was also an opinion that public statements should be curbed. The demand in the board meeting was that action should be taken against those including TN Prathapan, who announced his candidacy and said that he would find a replacement.
