According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, the sixth wave of the covid-19 pandemic continues to lose strength in the basic health areas of Bierzo. The number of active cases in the last week has dropped by 43 and those positive for coronavirus, after the 349 tests carried out, have remained at 197.
At the Hospital del Bierzo there are 13 admitted to the ward and none in the ICU due to covid. In the last seven days there has been one death at the Center. In the basic health areas there have been 8 deaths compatible with the disease, according to Health.
On the other hand, the incidence of the pandemic, after 14 days and per 100,000 inhabitants, continues to be very high in: Puente de Domingo Flórez (2,364), Ponferrada (538), Folgoso de la Ribera (870), Toreno (696) and Paramo del Sil (562).
