Selena Gomez has been the most followed woman on Instagram since Thursday. The actress and singer has 380.6 million followers, surpassing Kylie Jenner, American media report. Jenner currently has 380.4 million followers.
Thirty-year-old Gomez was already the woman with the largest Instagram audience. In 2019, she had to hand over that title to Ariana Grande (now 357 million followers), who in turn was overtaken by Jenner.
Gomez himself has not been active on Instagram for years. In 2017, she decided to delete the app from her phone. Since then, her assistant has been posting photos and texts in her name.
The most followed person on social media is footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. He has 550 million followers. He is followed by Lionel Messi with 432 million followers.
