The business news service “Bloomberg” listed Gomez for the first time on Friday in the “Billionaires Index”the list of billionaires – her estimated wealth is 1.3 billion dollars. This makes her one of the youngest self-made billionaires in the USA, reports “Bloomberg”.
In contrast to her friend Taylor Swift, who became a billionaire primarily through album sales and sold-out tours, Selena Gomes owes her fortune primarily to the income from her cosmetics brand “Rare Beauty”. Founded five years ago, the company is a huge success, especially among influencers and teenagers, also driven by marketing activities on social media: On Instagram alone, Selena Gomez has more than 400 million followers – only Cristiano Ronaldo (638 million) and Lionel Messi (504 million) have more followers. Gomez also runs a mental health startup (“Wondermind”).
