Selection (F): Haiti beats Jordan for its first outing in Pink Ladies Week

The Haitian women’s selection made its debut in the Pink Ladies Week against Jordan this Wednesday. Dominant during the vast majority of the match, the Grenadières won the victory (4-2) thanks in particular to a great Batcheba Louis, author of a very good goal.

After more than eight months without playing a single match, the Haitian women’s selection was back in action as part of the Pink Ladies Week, a friendly tournament which takes place in Turkey. For its entry into the running, Haiti faced the Jordanian team with an eleven certainly interesting but executives were missing.

Led by Batcheba Louis, captain on occasion, the Grenadières opened the scoring through Anyssa Ibrahim. Jordan equalized after a mistake by the blue and red defense, the opposing attacker shot Kerly Théus. At the end of the first period, Amandine Pierre-Louis gave the advantage back to the Haitian selection with a great action initiated by Batcheba and relayed by Shwendesky Joseph. Halftime score, 2-1.

From the start of the second half, Malou Quignette’s players worsened the score. First on a goal from Batcheba Louis following a nice breakthrough from Kethna Louis (49th), then on a goal from Dayana Pierre-Louis in the 54th minute of play. At the end of the match, the Jordanians reduced the gap to finish the match with a score of 4-2.

The Grenadières are first in the single group after this victory, they will face Chinese Taipei during their second outing on October 26.
