Bill Tchato was the guest of 100% Paillade on Monday evening. Member of the Cameroon selection, he spoke of the gradual return of Ambroise Oyongo after his recent serious injury:
“During the competition, I spent 24 hours a day with Ambroise Oyongo because I am the General Coordinator of this selection. At the end of the match, I went to see him to congratulate him on his penalty but since he’s a left, I knew he wasn’t going to miss it (laughs). […] From the moment he returns to his best physical level, he will be able to bring a lot to Montpellier because he is a very determined person. He already has a lot of experience, and on top of that, with us Cameroon, he is very important in the group, he brings a lot of atmosphere.“
The former Pailladin left-back remembers his first selection while defending the Hérault colors:
“I started to be selected with Cameroon when I arrived in Montpellier, I don’t forget that the coach at that time was Michel Mézy and I thank him again because it was he who initiated my coming to MHSC . While at the club, I was African Champion in 2002 and I was able to take part in the World Cup in Japan. Montpellier really propelled me to the highest of heights at this point in my career.
