In last Sunday’s game against EHC Freiburg, Vantuch let himself be carried away with a headbutt towards opponent Jackson Cressy in the final third. As a result, the Wolves striker received a match penalty, as a result of which a preliminary investigation was automatically initiated. Because Cressy was able to continue play, the commission deemed two games down plus an unspecified fine appropriate. Vantuch will therefore not be available to Sergej Waßmiller’s team for the games against the Bayreuth Tigers and the Krefeld Penguins (next Friday and Sunday).
