The purpose of this contest is to use AI to create characters with creative and friendly images and to publicize the department’s various charms.
Anyone with a passion for comics and animation can participate in the contest, and can create their own unique characters using not only AI programs but also various digital design tools. The department said that the character must contain the department’s identity and include elements that students and the public can easily feel familiar with.
The theme of the contest is ‘Cartoon Animation Department Symbolic Characters’. Participants must unleash their creativity to design living, breathing characters in the world of comics and animation.
The deadline for submitting works is November 18, and judging will be done by professors and industry experts in the field of professional cartoon animation. The winning work may be selected as the department’s official character, and the winning work will be used in various promotional materials and events.
In addition, the winner will receive a special prize and the honor of creating a symbolic character of the Department of Cartoon and Animation at Sejong Cyber University with AI.

The Department of Cartoon and Animation at Sejong Cyber University provides specialized specialized courses ranging from basic arts such as drawing and painting to webtoons, web novels, 2D and 3D animation, illustration and concept art.
