€300,000 fine for the head of the network
The public prosecutor of Angers, Eric Bouillard, had requested a varied sentence, between two months of probation to 15 years in prison, along with a fine and a ban on appearing in Angers. They vary according to the level of involvement of each person, their background and the time some have already spent in pre-trial detention, during the investigation.
Ahmed El Berkaoui, described as the head of a network, nicknamed “Peanut”, receives fifteen years in prison and a fine of €300,000. It is presented by investigators as the supplier of several dealers and traders in different Angevin areas. Property and money seized during the search were confiscated.
