Seixalbo Carnival 2024: Complete Program and Events

Carnival of Seixalbo 2024

The Seixalbo Carnival 2024 will take place from February 4 to 14 with a varied program of activities. On Sunday the 4th, Paquita and Nicanor will be received at Plaza Barreiros, followed by a tour of the town of Seixalbo with the entertainment of the brass band “Sorcha”. On Friday the 9th, the La Chavalada parade and the participation of the “Brexit” brass band will be responsible for continuing the celebrations. On Sunday the 11th, the Infesta park will host a vermouth session, followed by a great stew and a festival with the “Salsarena” orchestra. Tuesday the 13th will include a parade of comparsas, a carnival dance with a DJ included, and the burning of the Mecos. The burial of the sardine on February 14 will end the celebrations of the Entroido de Seixalbo 2024.

Domingo Oleiro

February 4

4:30 p.m. – Reception of Paquita and Nicanor in the Plaza (Barreiros). Afterwards, a tour of the town of Seixalbo with the entertainment of the “Sorcha” brass band. In the Plaza Mayor: There will be a Wave Game, piñatas and chocolate

Chavalada Friday

February 9

  • 11:30 – Parade of the students of the CEIP public school of Seixalbo through the streets of the town accompanied by the brass band “Brexit”

Carnival Sunday

February 11th

  • 13:00 – Vermouth infested park session
  • 14:00 – Great Bacchanal stew
  • 16:00 – Charanga “Brexit”
  • 17:00 – Verbena: “Salsarena” orchestra

Tuesday of Carnival

February 13th

  • 17:00 – Infesta Park: Troupe parade. Brass bands “Bréxit” and “Caliqueños”
  • 18:00 – Carnival Dance in the Plaza Mayor with DJ R Deluxe Events
  • 20:30 – Burning of the Mecos

Burial of the Sardine

February 14th

  • 21:00 – Parque da Infesta: Procession and Burial of the Sardine. Wake accompanied by xoubas empanada.
