A man was arrested after a woman was found naked and 40% burned on Monday night in Stains (Seine-Saint-Denis), we learned from the Bobigny prosecutor’s office.
The victim, whose vital prognosis is committed, was transported to the Saint-Louis hospital in Paris, the prosecution said.
Shortly after 9pm, an off-duty police officer noticed a detonation and the start of a fire on a car, according to a source close to the investigation. Police went to the scene and discovered a naked woman with burns all over her body near the vehicle, the source continues.

A “heavily alcoholic” man who was close to the woman “tried to get rid of a lighter,” the source added. He was arrested by police officers from Stains Police Station.
The arrested man allegedly has an affair with the victim, according to the source close to the investigation. Two cans of nitrous oxide and a can of carbonized gasoline were discovered in the vehicle.
