Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne and Paris voted the least at midday

It’s almost a habit, Seine-Saint-Denis is the department that has the least in France at midday for the first round of legislative elections. At noon, alone 9.85% of voters of 93 moved, against 18.43% for the national average, according to figures from the Ministry of the Interior on Sunday June 12.

Other Ile-de-France departments are at the bottom of the ranking participation at midday: Val-de-Marne is penultimate (12.12%), just behind Paris (12.26%), Essonne (12.77%), Val-d Oise (13.07%) and Seine-et-Marne (14.03%). The Yvelines also point to the bottom of the participation rates at noon with 15.45%, the Hauts-de-Seine do a little better with a participation of 16.64%.

These figures can still improve over time, remember that urban departments and large cities traditionally vote later than the rest of France. Polling stations close at 8 p.m. in Île-de-Franceexcept in Seine-et-Marne where they close at 6 p.m.
