It all started with a story of scooter theft. Two men, aged 18 and 25, were indicted on Thursday in Bobigny for kidnapping and forcible confinement in an organized gang. The youngest was imprisoned while his sidekick was released under judicial supervision. They would have participated in the kidnapping of an 18-year-old young man, last Sunday, near Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis) in the company of other individuals. The victim was also violently hit on the head.
It is midnight this Sunday, October 31 when the family of the young adult warns the police after receiving a disturbing phone call. An unknown voice demands the payment of a ransom of 10,000 euros against the release of the boy who is in their hands. If the family does not pay, the kidnapper threatens to kill him. An hour later, the kidnapper calls back but this time the police are on the side of the victims. The number is identified and the owner of the line is already known to the police.
Victim found with skull smashed
Officials remember that around 10:30 p.m., a patrol checked this man in the Pasteur de Villepinte housing estate, near a white Citroën C3 in the company of nine people, including the victim. Investigators from the Seine-Saint-Denis departmental judicial police service are responsible for carrying out the investigations. And at 1:50 a.m. in this same town, the police arrested their suspect in the Salvador Allende alley. Not far from there, they find the victim, staggering and bloody skull. “The young man explains that he was kidnapped by five kidnappers who accused him of having stolen a scooter,” said a source close to the case. The boy also reveals that they hammered him on the head. A 25-year-old young man, who walked away from him when the police arrived, was apprehended. The victim is taken to the hospital where she stays for forty-eight hours. Seriously injured in the head, he was prescribed 15 days of total incapacity for work by forensic emergencies.
And the next day, an operation is organized to arrest three other suspects, including the alleged sponsor of the kidnapping. But these young people could not be arrested, because they had deemed it preferable not to return home. During their hearings, the two suspects were not very talkative. One of them simply saying that he lent his phone but did not contact the victim’s parents to demand money.
