The Virtual Health Hospital in Riyadh announced that it saved the life of a 31-year-old man on the eve of Eid, as he suffered a severe stroke that led to difficulty in movement and a tilt in the face. This is the first case of dealing with stroke cases in the Northern Borders Health Hospitals.
The young man went to the emergency department at Rafha General Hospital, and the stroke consultant doctor was contacted in the virtual hospital.
The patient remained under observation and full medical care in Rafha General Hospital until clinical examinations and x-rays showed an improvement in the perfusion to the brain artery, and the restoration of normal functions of the right upper and lower extremities.
And the Virtual Health Hospital recently activated the virtual medical support platform for strokes with Rafha General Hospital, as it provided practical support and training for stroke path workers.
