Sega has officially announced the release of its retro maker Sega Mega Drive Mini 2.
The Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 that The Verge mentioned on Saturday will come with more than 50 games in it. These games include Silpheed, CD Shining Force, CD Sonic the Hedgehog, Virtua Racing, and Shining in the Darkness.
Sega Drive Mini 2 is scheduled to be released in Japan on October 27. Release dates for North America and other countries have not been announced. The minimum price for a retro console is 9,980 yen (Rp 1.1 million).
Not only that, Sega has also announced an additional upgrade for the Mini Sega CD selling for 4,500 yen (Rs 495,000). But according to a listing on Sega’s website, the add-on doesn’t add any additional capabilities. This device is only for adding a classic look to the Sega Drive Mini.
